Reformer Pilates
Small classes. Expert teaching.
In Brookvale since 2002
Strength That
Moves With You
Reformer Pilates builds strength, control and confidence in how you move. At our Brookvale studio, classes are physiotherapy-informed and taught by experienced Polestar Pilates instructors. With no more than twelve people on the reformer, your instructor has the space to see how you’re moving and help you get more from every class.
We’ve been teaching Pilates on the Northern Beaches since 2002. Bring the body you have today, and we’ll take it from there.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates uses a spring-loaded carriage to add resistance and support to your movement. It gives you hundreds of ways to work on strength, mobility, balance and control.
The resistance can be adjusted to meet you where you are. That makes the reformer equally useful when you’re learning the foundations, building strength or working with an experienced instructor after rehabilitation.
The goal isn’t to make every exercise harder. It’s to help you move well, understand your body and build strength you can use outside the studio.
Our Reformer
Pilates Classes
ou don’t need to know your way around a reformer before you start. Our classes welcome beginners and experienced movers, with exercises adapted to suit the person in front of us.
We cap every Reformer Pilates class at twelve. That gives your instructor time to watch how you’re moving, offer individual guidance and keep the class challenging at the right level.
You’ll build strength, mobility and control with teaching grounded in the Polestar method.
Group Reformer Pilates
There’s something different about moving in a room with other people. You have your own reformer and your own work to do, with the energy of the group around you.
Our group classes build strength, mobility and control through considered, progressive movement. Your instructor can adapt exercises where needed, while keeping the whole class moving together.
It’s focused training, without the fitness noise.
Why Choose Us for Reformer Pilates?
Most studios teach Pilates. Polestar trains the people who teach it, all over the world.
That expertise shapes every class at our Brookvale studio. Our teaching is physiotherapy-informed, our Reformer classes are capped at twelve, and we’ve been part of the Northern Beaches community since 2002.
You get experienced eyes on how you move, thoughtful guidance and Pilates grounded in a method that has trained teachers in more than sixty countries.
Award-Winning Studio and Expert Leadership
Good teaching comes from knowing movement deeply, and knowing how to teach the person in front of you.
Polestar Pilates Studio has been recognised nationally, including Pilates Business of the Year 2024. In 2023, our team received Educator of the Year, Pilates Professional of the Year and CEC Provider of the Year.
We’re also an AUSactive Business Member and a Pilates Association Australia Registered Studio.
The awards are lovely. What matters is what that expertise brings to your class, thoughtful teaching, experienced instructors and movement that makes sense for your body.
Reformer
Pilates FAQs
Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?

What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates can help you build strength, mobility, balance and control. The adjustable resistance gives you plenty of ways to progress as your movement and strength develop.
How many people are in a Reformer Pilates class?
