Annette Dillon

Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Annette did her original physiotherapy training in Germany where she was awarded the German equivalent of BSC Physiotherapy in 1988. During her professional career, she specialized in neuromuscular rehabilitation and worked in a variety of prestigious clinical settings including acute hospitals, rehabilitation centres, outpatient clinics and private practices in Germany, the UK (West London Neurosciences Centre) and Australia (Royal Brisbane Hospital, University of Queensland).

A clinical specialist physiotherapist and educator for NGOs, Annette worked for some time in Romania and India during the 1990’s, addressing the needs of people with a vast array of rehabilitation challenges.

In 2001 Annette came to Australia and obtained her Australian State Registration.
Annette first came to Pilates when re-training her core stability and postural balance after the birth of her first child in 2004. She was impressed with the effectiveness and results of the Pilates method and started to incorporate Pilates principles and methods into the movement analysis and rehabilitation of her clients. In 2009 she completed the Polestar Pilates rehabilitation teacher training.

Now a mother of 2 gorgeous little boys she has a special interest in ante- and postnatal care. Other areas of special expertise are the treatment of movement problems related to ageing, balance and fall prevention, osteoporosis and neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson or stroke.

Annette loves the outdoors and bushwalking, dance and Yoga. She is fluent in English and German.
