Having trained as a ballet dancer at the Australian Ballet School, Deb was exposed to the benefits of both Physiotherapy and Pilates from a young age. She received both her Physiotherapy degree and Sport Science degree from the University of Sydney. Over the years, Deb has taken extensive post-grad training in Physiotherapy including a Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy (Manual Concepts), Women’s Health Training (WHTA) and Advanced Muscle Energy Technique Pelvis courses (AMTA). She most recently became a graduate of the ConnectTherapy™ approach by Dr LJ Lee.

Deb completed her original Pilates training with Polestar Pilates in 2003 and her Diploma of Professional Pilates in 2009. She has been on the Polestar teacher training faculty as a Principle Educator, examiner, and continued education presenter for the past 15 years. Deb has also completed Post-Graduate Pilates training with Rael Isacowitz from BASI in the USA. Deb currently works for Polestar Australia, dividing her hours between hands-on Physiotherapy treatments in the rooms, and Clinical Pilates in the studio.
